Slippery Rock University Percussion Ensemble

The Slippery Rock University Percussion Ensemble, directed by David Glover, is a diverse group of percussionists dedicated to performing classic and contemporary percussion literature. Programming for the group is very eclectic, including contemporary pieces, commissioned works, world music, body percussion, performance art, aleatoric pieces, jazz, electronic music, ragtime transcriptions, and classical arrangements for mallet keyboard ensemble. The size of the ensemble can vary depending on the requirements of the piece, but usually consists of between three and fifteen percussionists.  The ensemble has performed throughout Pennsylvania and the region, at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association Conference and at several state-chapter Percussive Arts Society events.
